Fact

OH MY FREAKING GOSH PLEASE GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT BEFORE YOU TRY TO BASH MY RELIGION. AGAIN.

All of those things under the “natural” list- AREN’T NATURAL IN THE BIBLE. THEY ARE MIRACLES. MEANING AN EVENT THAT IS UNEXPLAINABLE BY NATURE.

I understand that EVERYONE is trying to pin Gays and Christians against each other. You want us to get along and love each other, so why do you keep saying how “evil” and “unaccepting” we are?!? This goes BOTH ways people. If you don’t want Christians to bash gays, then don’t bash Christians. That makes you no better than anyone else.

As my followers know, I am strong in my faith, and also strong in the gay community. I feel like Christians are called to love above all, and that’s what I’m doing. Whether or not homosexuality is a sin- to be honest- I don’t care. It doesn’t matter to me. The Bible tells us that “the greatest of these is love”.

You call Christians the “ignorant” ones, when you’re the ones picking and choosing things out of the Bible that you know NOTHING about to turn them around on us.

Coming from a Christian, heterosexual woman:

HAPPY COMING OUT DAY!!!

Never be ashamed for who you are. People love you for that, and never feel like you have to live a lie.

I love you all.

Also, “come out” to me in my ask. It will put a smile on my face :]

1 Corinthians 13

Somebody sent my best friend a text saying “Lev 18:22- look it up bitch.”

If people are going to “quote” the Bible like that, they need to know the facts. According to the Bible, when Jesus came to earth to die for our sins, he “fulfilled” the Old Testament law [where Leviticus is located], so that we wouldn’t have to worry about all of those laws and just focus on what God can do through us [this is one of the BIG differences between the Old and New Testament.] That’s why the eating shelfish, wearing clothes of different fibers, and shaving your beard isn’t considered “unholy” or “sinful” anymore.

However, if I’m gong to be saying this about the Old Testament, I need to address the ENTIRE Bible and not be a hypocrite. As I’ve said, the Old Law is out, done, shouldn’t even be brought up. However, there are verses in the New Testament that deal with homosexuality [Romans 1:24-27, 1 Corinthians 6:9-10..] and those can’t be overlooked, just like the verses surrounding Leviticus.

All of this being said- Yes. I am a Christian. But no, I don’t “hate” gays or think that they’re damned to Hell. I believe that the entire premise of Christianity is LOVE. God LOVED us, Jesus LOVED us, etc. So why on earth do we feel like we have the right to judge or hate others, when we’re simply told to love? That’s why I don’t care if you’re gay, straight, bi, transgender.. And honestly? I don’t know if God considers homosexuality a “sin” in today’s culture. Personally, I think he has bigger issues to worry about. But either way, it shouldn’t matter. I’m told to love you, and believe me, I do!

Those who think that Christianity is all about following rules, spewing hate, and converting people to believe like we do is closed-minded, ignorant, and wrong.

Unpopular Opinion.
